  • NFL Network caves under pressure.

Politicians come to rescue of fans in Pats-Giants TV flap

On Dictionary.com, “cave in” is defined as “to yield; submit; surrender.”

Yep, that pretty much defines what the NFL did this week.

Remember, it was only two weeks ago that a spokesman said there was “zero chance” of the NFL making tomorrow night's telecast of the potentially historic Patriots-Giants game available to anyone without NFL Network. According to USA Today, he even paraphrased lyrics from singer Carrie Underwood, saying there was as much chance of anything being changed as there was of “raindrops going back into clouds.”

Well, we haven't seen many clouds around here lately, let alone raindrops, but we will be able to see NFL Network's telecast of the Patriots-Giants game on CBS and NBC at 5:15 p.m.

Sucka's. Oh wait I added NFL Network a month ago, crap I'm the sucker. I think the biggest complaint wasn't about people not wanting to add NFL network, it was those who couldn't even get the channel if they wanted to. I am going to keep my sports tier for a while and check out the soccer games and then decide if I want to keep it.

Actually I don't think I can even get NFL network in the area I'm moving to in Feb. It some local company called Armstrong cable.

Direct TV is available, but I have to take what the apartments already have. I'm not too worried about the NFL network right away. I was looking forward to seeing some soccer. Hopefully I can still get that.
