Help with a TAR file

I got this game, it came in a TAR package. I know I can use nero and burn it as an image and then can play it, but I have never done it before. I don't where to go on nero to do it.

You can use winzip to extract the file then you won't have to use nero.

Are you sure? It is a tar file, I can use my winrar and look at the contents, but there is no .exe or anything.

Are you sure it's for windows and not Linux? TAR is tape archive. It's kind of like a zip file in the unix world.

I dunno, I downloaded in off mIRC. My friend does it a lot, he said you just burn an image disk, but I have never done it. I would call him but his lazy ass is asleep.

You got me bro. I have never had a tar file for a windows PC. The only time I see those were on my linux box or at work. Are you sure He wasn't talking about files with a .iso extension. Those are disk immmages. You can burn them directly to CD ROM and have a working CD.
