Very true, maybe there was some confusion on being to genral vs talking about gym trainers.Originally posted by Nekrawulf View PostIf you go by the preach what you say rule...
Tell me why some of the best olympic level coaches, never made it to the olympics themselves, and are certainly no where near olympic level conditioning.
In particular... gymnastic coaches or wrestling coaches... many are overweight, middle aged men.
Are they not worthy to coach these atheletes? Because they dont look like elite athletes themselves.
I plan on coaching altheletes for the rest of my life... even when I can no longer sustain my own high intensity workout schedule....
Does this mean that I will lack the knowledge to get other people into shape, simply because I lack the means/desire/willpower to push myself to those limits?
John Hacklemen, Greg Glassman, Mark Rippentoe are a few people who teach elite fitness.... but are by no means elite atheletes themselves.... they clearly do not know what they are doing. Because they dont "look" elite.

I think there was.Originally posted by Shibby View PostVery true, maybe there was some confusion on being to genral vs talking about gym trainers.
But in all fairness... the level of expertise required to pass a national personal training association exam is next to nil. This is part of the disdain I have for "gym culture" in general, and why I have never previously sought an associated or "certification" from any of these organizations.

I can't believe I forgot about this. We have these fucking Russian guys that come into our gym and use the sauna. Fuck, the pour so much water on the stones it makes it a steam room, which its not designed to be. THUS, it fucked up the door and dew gets on fucking everything and the tile floor becomes slippery. Not on is it dangerous, it broke the efffing sauna. We've said stuff to them before, I don't know why the manager doesn't just kick them out.

Is it a dry sauna? The kind that clearly states DO NOT POUR WATER ON THE STONES lol...
They should make them pay for it - they'll stop..
