  • Love this video

Was looking at bench press vids. Ran across this guy. Its impressive weight, but the thing I noticed the most was his attitude. I wonder if I started to be a little more like this in the weightroom instead of so serious and almost being mad at the weights if it would help. Fun to watch.

Ha I'm from South Carolina, you'd probably think I talk like that. :D Anyway, I just think his attitude is great and I wonder if it would help some of us. The most focused I get is gettin super serious, keeping to myself and trying to get mad at the weights. Maybe keeping loose like this is the way to go.

Yeah I was more just talking about my accent. But you are right, that guy goes the whole 9 yards to be a good ol' southern boy.

Anyone know why he's using the bands?

Reverse bands lessen the weight at the bottom of the exercise and the "help" from them decreases as the weight is lifted to lockout - it's essentially the same as using a bench shirt only without the shirt ;)

MAN, thats crazy that he can lift that, but that form is horrible...his back is doing all the work, he needs to drop the weight and have his biceps do majority of the work.
