Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir

I'm curious to see what other people think about this.

Do you think he is over hyped because of his collegiate and wwe wrestling background, and his size and strength?

or

Do you think he isn't being taken seriously enough?

Personally, I think that he isn't being given enough credit. Of course he has to prove himself. I wouldn't expect anything else. However, a lot of people I talk to think that he is a joke because he was a wwe wrestler. That is what I don't understand. Granted, wwe is scripted and a big physical soap opera, but the fact still remains that these guys put there bodies through hell and are by no means out there kissing and hugging in the ring.

I think he is taking this very serious and that he will surprise a lot of people. I hope I'm not wrong. I'd really like to see him make an impressive debut.

Lesnar was a two-time NJCAA All-American, two-time NCAA All-American, two-time Big Ten Champion, and the 2000 NCAA heavyweight champion with a record of 106-5 overall in four years of college...But he's a turtle on the ground? lol No one talked about his BJJ/MMA/etc...But for you to make such comments about his wrestling skills(ground)is absurd.

I said ON THE GROUND. I didnt say he couldnt take Mir to the ground, which is exactly where Mir wants the fight. Look at Jake O'Brien for example.. excellent collegiate wrestler, took Herring down often throughout the fight, but then what did he do? Laid on him until the referee stood them up. Christ, pay attention, dont blindly reply to posts because youre so eager to prove someone wrong. "On the ground" relates primarily to someones BJJ or sub defense. I guess I wont assume people know that next time.

If Mir armbars Lesnar knee bars him, etc. Im pretty sure Mir is veteran enough to pull off the submission. Will he? I dont know really, but Mir isnt exactly a can.
