Assassin's Creed sucks.

So I bought this game for the 360. Read some reviews and it looked decent. Anyone played this?

The game looks incredible, graphics are up there with the best games on the 360. The huge open worlds are also impressive. That is pretty much where it ends though.

The game is so tedious and repetitive that it is not fun anymore after about 2 hours of playing. You constantly have to hide or "blend" in the towns because the guards are always watching. People in the towns are a pain in the ass always bugging you for money etc.. You have to do the same kind of missions over and over and over.. Fighting is not very fun at all, you press a button and block over and over.

I played about 2 hours last night and really have no intention of playing again. Terrible game.

I rented it, and I liked it. But like you said it is very repetitive. I wouldn't buy it. But then again I don't ever buy games.

I got that for christmas and finished it, yeah its a strange campaign and not a great ending, basically leaves loads of questions with all the answers due in the sequel, I thought the idea was pretty good and all the tricks he can do are fun as you say great graphics. I'm still hooked on COD online until something else comes out

Can you pick an easy setting or something? I found it incredibly difficult to assassinate that one guy in Jerusalem. That is only like 2 hours into the game.

No i didn't finish is, I got bored and took it back. Unless it started to get a lot harder, I don't see how difficult it could have been

how far did you get? i couldnt get past the first assaniation in Jerusalem. maybe i am just too used to games like COD4. the controls just dont feel right with creed.

I killed 5 or 6 big wig guys, at least I think it was that many. I know I killed one in Jerusalem, some Aman city or something, the D city, and one other. Man i can't remember those names lol. Every time I would kill someone, I would just hold the R trigger and hit I think B when they struck and it would counter. So even if a group of like 10 guys surround you, you just do that and you never lose health.

i don't know what the hell i am doing wrong then. i cant hardly beat 2 or 3 guards. they hit me in the back when i am fighting a different guy.

Maybe you don't start out with the ability to counter, maybe you learn it once you have killed someone. But try hold down the R trigger, and when a guy swings at you from any direction, press B. You should do a counter that kills him. Have you killed any of the main guys yet?

i killed like one main guy. then i got to the first guy in Jerusalem and got frustrated and said fuck this.

in other words, the fighting style is basically block, wait, strike. that is boring to me.

yeah, that is what I was trying to say. You just sit there, block, strike, repeat. lol. and yes it gets old.

its a tap tap tap game, the combos seem to be default set, when they cluster round you I found it helped to grab and pull one of them, this makes space then get slicing again. It was a bit same same to be honest.

My favourite part is using the crossbow and getting up the buildings to reveal the eagle view shots, that actually gave me dizziness

i guess i will give it a try again, i will report back. the thing that sucks is that i got mad and deleted it so now i have to start over. lol
