  • Birthday ideas

So, my mom's 60th birthday is Monday, and we are celebrating it on Saturday night. We're going out for a nice dinner, and then to a dueling piano bar. My dad has a few tricks up his sleeve, and all of this is a surprise for her.

She has a SERIOUS issue with this birthday. She can't deal with the number. So, my idea is to get her a "Sweet 16" cake, and a tiara to match!!! I think it's too hilarious. Well, she gave me

Does anyone have any fun ideas for what I can get her, or any fun stuff to do at the bar? I mean, we will obviously get her on stage for them to sing her Happy B day, but anything creative? Also, does anyone have any gift ideas? It's so hard because what do you get someone who has everything??

Get Bouncer to strip for her.. .lol.

no really get her a stripper... nothing tacky though. I have a friend that did that for her mom, when she turned 50. SHE LOVED IT :D

But it may not fly with Dad...

Any which way you go, Wish your mom a Happy Bday.. .:)

Thanks...that would be a great idea if Dad weren't there!!!

I looked into getting her Michael Buble tickets for a concert here in March....Jesus- who does this guy think he is??? At least $130 for ONE!! I couldn't believe it! $96 for NOSEBLEED! I would obviously have to purchase one for myself as well, but I was blown away

Maybe get in touch with someone she hasnt seen in a long time, like a old friend. And have them show up at the bar. Like you said when someone has everything its hard. And most of the time they rather something special like that than a actual gift. Tell you mom that 60 is the new 40.

Well, my dad is already surprising her with old friends from out of town! That's so funny you said that!

I wanted to get her a special gift. I found this really cool art thing online. Basically it's called Memory Lane, and you give them all kinds of things that have happened over the years, etc. , and they do this framed, cartoonish kind of street thing with your words. Hence the "Memory Lane". Uh, too bad they started at $410!!! She would get real mad at me if I spent that much

I keep trying to tell her 60 is the new 40, but she's not believing me so much
