  • Fights anyone??

Ok so us males are a proud group. I'm sure we all like to act like we are the king shit and we can handle whatever comes our way. But honestly, how many fights have you guys really been in? (Not wrestling matches or organized martial arts events.) Real fights. Anyone got any good stories? Anyone man enough to admit you lost a fight and maybe even gotten your ass kicked? I'm sure it may be tough to admit for some, and its understandable.

Personally I've been in two fights. One was in elementary school and the next one was in middle school. :) My first one didnt go so good. Caught a right hook to the temple and decided to ride my bike home. LOL. Hey I was in 5th grade, so I pussied out. But I took that punch like a champ. Got me flush and didnt phase me. Second one was in middle school and this mother fucker cut in front of me in line while we were walking to the book fair. I grabbed him and pulled him out of my way. He pushed me back so I threw whatever kind of punch a 12 year old throws and caught him in the temple. (Yes the temple ironically enough) He went down and I got ISS for 3 days.

Yep sadly enough that is my entire fighting history. I have gotten in altercations that would have turned into fights had they not have been broken up. I've only really backed down once and it has haunted me ever since. I was 17 years old. Me and my last GF were at a pool hall with one other guy and his GF. It was in a shitty part of town so we were a little out of our element. As we were leaving an older guy, maybe 35 years old made a few unappropriate comments towards my GF. There were about 6 other drunk guys in there at the time too, so we just decided it would be better off to leave. Looking back I guess it was the smart thing because I was an unarmed 17 year old in a bad part of town with a bunch of older drunk guys. But I can't deny I was ashamed of backing down.

As for now. I am completely confident that I can do whatever it takes to defend myself, my GF, or my family. Just luckily haven't had to.

    Any stories anyone??

I remember when I was much younger I'drank about 8 pints larger and had a fight with three guys in a kebab shop, I was basically holding one of them infront of me while the other two were punching and kicking me from the side, I was only holding the first guy to stay on my feet LOL! anyways a buddy saw me struggling and came in, they hit him once knocked him flat out, he'd drank as much as me but was about 50lb lighter LOL so it wasn't fair but I was grateful and we laughed about it later, I woke up the next dsay with a blue ear and pains in my ribs. I managed to bust a nose or two of the other guys though!

thats one I lost but I've had a number of scirmishes while working nightclub security over the years, they rarely lasted more than 30 seconds but nothing to really man off about.

I came back a few weeks later to go at it again and yep he whooped me again. I never seen him again but if I ever do see him again anywhere it is on. I will fight him over and over untill I die if need be. I have other times got beat down but thoes were more of gang style fights. I havnt lost to many 1 on 1 fights. I guess cuzz Im such a nice guy.

i used to get into fights all the time...i've calmed down a lot in my old age i guess. i've never been mean and i've never wanted to really hurt anyone. i just wasn't willing to take any shit when i was younger. my fuse has grown exponentially. i think muay thai subdued my aggression a bit as well. i take it out on a bag, in the gym, or sparring now days. i think boxing also taught me that there are people out there who are much more bad ass than i ever thought i was. i've never lost a street fight, but i've had my ass handed to me in the ring on more than one occasion. well, that's not entirely true. in second grade i got my ass kicked by the school bully for sticking up for someone else he was picking on. but yeah, i was a very cocky teenager.

i've never gone looking for a fight, but if someone gets in my face, all bets are off.

Couldnt agree more. Ive been in several "street" fights, some instant, some planned, when I was much younger of course. I have no idea what my record is, but Ill be the first to say, Im certainly not undefeated. But taking BJJ and muay thai has taught me no matter how big of a bad ass you are, there is always someone out there who will own you. Unless youre Fedor.

yeap i agree, boxing does calm you down when you get your ass beat afew times. As far as street fights, i cant count how many, most of them when drunk.
The last one was at the local club, it got me a 5 year bann. A friend of a friend started tuning my missus right in front of me and when i stepped in he didnt like it, so the dick punches me in the chest so i then i hit with 5 good hits and before ppl step in and he's got blood pissin out his face.
The last time i got my ass beat was when i was drinking with a mate. Its 6am and we had been drinking all night, my mates decides he is driving home and i get a lift (stupid i know). Anyway these three guys we had been playin pool with decide to jump in the car and come with us, halfway down the highway, the guy sittin behind me starts yellin and screamin to turn the car around he wants to go back to another club. This guy is a big fucker covered in tatts and off his head on coke and fuck knows what else. So my mate who is driving tells him to fuck off hes not turnin around. NExt thing this guy sittin behind me put his arm around my neck and starts chokin the shit outta me and screamin to turn the car around so my mate pulls the car over and i get out and start punchin shit outta the dude in the back seat who was chokin me. as this is goin on my mate is punchin on with the other two guys in the middle of the highway as cars are flyin past lol. so anyway last i remember was this big fuk getting out of the car while im still tryna punch him. LAter in the afternoon i wake up in hospital with broken ribs and 2 black eyes. My mate tells me this fucker punched crap outta me and then dragged me out in the middle of the highway and left me there unconsious. My friend also got smashed by the other two. Apparently some people drivin by stopped and dragged me off the road and called the ambulance who picked us up. The next day we went back to pick up the car and the drivers side window was smashed and there was blood everywhere. lol. Thats prolly the orst i got beat out of the ring, ya win some ya lose some. Theirs plenty more stories i could tell ya lol

seriously! one guy who i sparred with all the time just a couple of years ago went on to become pro. his name is kevin, i think...can't remember his last name. he's really good. i could hold my own really well if we were in a clinch, but that fucker has the most brutal hook i've ever been hit with. as long as i wouldn't allow him to get to far from me it was all good. but avoiding his hooks was very tough and he's probably the fastest guy i've ever fought. funny thing is, he was a LOT smaller than i am. i'm more of a power-striker...but by the time i'd even think about going on the offensive, he'd have hit me three times!

it was a lot of fun though....i've been out of it for almost two years now. it's funny - when i turned thirty, getting hit seemed much less appealing to me somehow...

A group of us go to N. Myrtle Beach. Me, dad, brother, dad's friend & son, & another friend. I'm 18, friend is 18 and brother and other kid were 16. Me and another friend drove down separately. When other car load got down 2 hours later, they'd went through a case of beer. My dad actually bumped the wall in the parking garage.

We make it up to the room on the 20th floor of this condo & they're immediately yelling out the window to the fat chicks poolside...How much do you weigh? & Telling the maids that were cleaning up the room to come back tonight because we're having a party. I felt we'd be thrown out before long.

Me and my buddy meet these college chicks that went to Lenoir Rhyne. They were nice to us and vice versa. Well, my brother and other 16 yr. old friend come in trying to peep on one of them while taking a shower. We run them off & my dad & his friend come down. The college chicks were more interested in the dads than me and my friend so we leave.

We go to the sauna/gym area. Their is a guy in there working out w/his GF...turned out to be fiancee. This couple were in their mid to late 20's and were getting married that weekend. Well, the younger friend had beein going into the gym area to talk to her. Guy comes out pissed off, and I ask him what is the problem. He says there is no problem since it is 4 on 1. I say cool & me and younger friend hang out in the sauna. My brother & older friend hang out in the whirlpool.

Well jackass BF goes back and gets two buddies & comes back. Except now, 5'4" jackass boyfriend has to 6'5" buddies to back him up and he doesn't waste any time talking and doesn't even go after the right guy. Without saying anything, he kicks my older friend in the eye while he was sitting in the whirlpool. My buddy flies out to get him and the other guys tell my brother that the fight was between their friend and my buddy. My brother being 5'10 160 lbs is glad to hear it.

Then my buddy turns the tables on the guy that kicked him and that dude runs across the street and then to the lobby. The manager asked my friend what he wanted to do, and he said he wanted to kick the guy's ass. Manager said we can't have that here while younger brother and friend are yelling we're going to kick your ass in front of everybody there checking in.

Then the manager decides to call the cops. Me and my kicked buddy go track down my dad and his friend. As soon as my dad saw my buddy's eye he was sooo pissed off & told us to just point the guys out, so down the elevator we're heading. We get off and start to go left when I see them back to the right. I yell there are those guys.

My dad takes a B line for the guy that is 6'4" 250 thinking that is the guy who did it while my buddies start tagging the right guy. The 6'4" guy's mom starts hitting my dad w/her pocket book while he is jacking her son up in a bush.

We finally get everybody separated. We go to our room & find out they're going to press charges against dad for breaking the dudes jaw while we decide to press charges against the little dude for kicking my friend in the face. Everybody then agrees to not press charges.

However, we get kicked out of the hotel. Our one week trip turns into a 4 hour trip. We turn around drive 4 hours back home and play golf all week.

We had head gear, boxing gloves and mouth pieces at the house. Occasionally, we'd go down and spare with our friends. We usually had friends over for all big boxing matchs such as Tyson and Hollifield.

One night after everybody was pretty well lit, my dad bets me he can knock me out in 20 seconds for $10. He tells me that I can't run around for 20 seconds that I have to fight. I'm like ok.

They say go and he is all over me so fast that there was no way I could've ran. I covered and was happy to make it the 20. After a 20 second all out assault, he is gassed, so I get the bright idea to go double or nothing, but it has to be RIGHT NOW! He agrees and so we start. He is still trying to catch his breath a little, so I throw a left right combo and connect both of them. However, he counter punches w/a simple hook and knocks me out. I remember coming to and it being the most pleasant feeling in the world. I was dizzy and saw stars but there was no pain.

Really, I feel so docile next to everyone here. Never seen a reason to fight anyone. Peoples own stupidity is their business and I tend to let them have it.

I have gotten in one fight. I was young and drunk working front door at my fraternity and this kid kept telling me to let his friends in. We had decided to close the door because the party was too full and I kept trying to explain it to the kid. Next thing I know we're wrestling on the ground. Jump back a few seconds and I am told that I lunged at him and threw him into light switch turning on all the lights in the room. So, everyone looked over. From there, how we got on the floor, I have no idea. Sufficed to say I don't remember much about it.

I believe that can be said in most areas of life.

I can't remember a lot about poker tournaments that I've won, other than I won them, but I remember exactly how I've lost several when I was outplayed or was drawn out on.
