Really, I don't have any problem with legalized drugs and prostituion. And from what I can tell neither are most politicians in thier private life. They simply put on a facade because they are babies.

Exactly. There is nothing wrong with it. The only problem is even though there is supposed to be separation between church and state, the church is very involved in politics. The minute anyone decides to push legalizing these things, the holy rollers get all up in arms.

I don't agree witht this statement completely. We were given the right to worship as we wish, and that right is hardly infringed. No where does it say that people have to seperate political and religious beliefs. That is the problem. If you appeal to logic and reason, most people will see a topic in equal to you. However, given the religious rights position in our government as of late, reason and logic are things of the past, IMO.

Um if you read the first amendment it states right in there that in no way should religious beliefs infringe upon government. I understand that you say if logic and reason prevail things will work. But you get guys in gov't that are bible thumpers they try to rule by the way of the bible.

Religion and morality go hand in hand in America.

And it shouldn't. There are still quite a number of people who do not believe in religion, me being one. I don't feel it should have any part in government.

i agree and i think it is slowly changing. it used to be much worse 50 years ago for example. 50 years from now it will be better then it is now.

one way or another, you always pay for sex. maybe not directly, but the headaches afterwords are a cost in my opinion.

and they don't pay them for sex. they pay them to leave and keep their mouths shut

I heard that this morning - $80k on prostitutes. Instead of just resigning, he's going to keep up this charade .

Did you see his wife? She looked real thrilled to be standing up there next to him. But I still don't get what's in it for her to do it in the first place...

He resigned at 11:30 this morning. If he didn't the impeachement papers were being prepared and they were gonna boot his ass either way.
