  • Yes, Running Can Make You High

THE runner’s high: Every athlete has heard of it, most seem to believe in it and many say they have experienced it. But for years scientists have reserved judgment because no rigorous test confirmed its existence.

Yes, some people reported that they felt so good when they exercised that it was as if they had taken mood-altering drugs. But was that feeling real or just a delusion? And even if it was real, what was the feeling supposed to be, and what caused it?

I feel good when I run, but can't say it is a high. However, me and two buddies hiked Pikes Peak a day after arriving in Colorado Springs. When we got to the top, we each had different types of feelings due to the altitude...one person was vomitting, another sobbing & the other feeling a bit high. Interesting how our bodies react to different stimuli.

Actually, I was that fag. :D

I did feel like a little bitch sitting there w/a napkin over my face trying to not let my friends see & wondering why in the hell I was crying. Of course, I only had to worry about one because the other one was still puking.

ahaha, yeah people do react different to stuff, excercise just makes me feel justified somehow. Weights make me numb and satisfied whereas cardio makes me feel fit and alert
