This might actually be a question for Rado. Anywho... a buddy of mine just called me and said he was told that his wife (that he is going thru a divorce with) hired a PI to follow him. I asked him if there is anything he is hiding and he said not but he seems a little worried about it. Anyone ever have this kind of job before. How can he tell if he is being followed besides the obvious? He's not sure if the person he heard this from is trying to scare him or is being serious.

He doesn't really have anything to worry about. When I went through my divorce, I had asked if someone was following me did I have to worry. I was told by two lawyers that personal things that happen after you split cannot be used against each other.

He said that is not necessarily true because of the way he filled. He filled a fault divorce which means he is protected from spousal support. Now he is worried that since he is seeing someone if he would get caught that could be used against him.

I went through the same exact thing. He has nothing to worry about. The court doesn't care about personal lives after the separation. If he was with the person while he was with his wife AND there was proof of it then he would have to be worried. Anything he does now cannot be used.

I told him to drive on the highway with his flashers on going about 30 mph. It would be obvious if someone was following him then.

So you actually filled a fault divorce?

Yes I did. I didn't want to wait the year for the separation shit. My ex tried bringing up the whole being with someone else and the court didn't care.
