It was looking like they were going to choke. Around here the Caps vs Phil game tonight has high interest. I'm sure the NHL wants to see Ovechkin vs. Crosby.

The Caps got screwed; first the chintzy penalty call, then the non-call on the goalie interference that led to the overtime winner.

What I care about is Montreal though, and that they got the better matchup for them...the Flyers.

My brother scored tickets, so I'm heading to Montreal tomorrow to be part of the madness. I am really being spoiled recently: UFC 83 and a playoff game in less than a week!

A guy at work was saying he would have rather had anybody but the rangers. He said the Rangers really put it too the Pens this season and that their is one guy who agitates the hell out of everyone. He said the NHL had to add a rule because of one of the Ranger for dancing like a clown in front of the goalie.

That guy is Sean Avery, and he's the best pest in the NHL now. Not only will he piss you off and goad you into taking penalties, he's a fast skater and has a decent set of hands. He's a guy you hate unless he plays for your team.

Damn the Pens game was pretty good. I actually turned away when the Rangers went up 3-0. I started watching basketball. I glanced at the score online and saw it was 3-2, so I turned back and watched a great end.

They played super-intense games all year...will be good to watch. I'll be shocked if the Pens don't win though.

It would be interesting to see a Pens vs Stars finals for me. I use to be a big stars fan back in the 90's. It's been so long since I watched hockey though that I really don't feel like a stars fan. I barely feel like a hockey fan again. I find myself rooting for the Pens more than the Stars though and I think if they played each other I would still root for the Pens.

It was also kind of cool watching the game last night (I won't say the team names :D) when my wife said it was kind of interesting to watch even though she doesn't know the rules.

The Stars closed it out...barely. Four overtimes to take it...if they'd lost that game, I don't think they would have been able to beat San Jose in a game 7. It'll be interesting to see how they stack up against the Wings, who are getting production from so many different players so far in these playoffs.
