Anyone buying Grand Theft Auto 4?

Compared to other GTA games, is it much better? I honestly never really got into the GTA games much. Missions seemed weak and blowing shit up got old quick for me. Is this game that much better?

its still the same as the older GTA's. You try to be a 'good' boy but shit goes bad fast and your living the life of crime until you become the biggest gangster in the city....

its still fun, gameplay is better, graphics better, no more loading from city to city (its seamless), online mode is great (i played online last night, and this fucktard kept shouting on his mic "FUCK YOU NIGGER" over and over again)....

its pretty nice man, but if you couldn't get into the previous one's than don't bother with this one, the least you can do is rent it and see how you like it,,

I am about 33% into the game...the game does take a lot of twists and turns....

You can choose to kill people or not, but if you don't kill them there is a chance they might either help you toward the end or it will bite you in the ass

or...


if you kill him/her, than it might benefit you or it might bring more havic further in the game



overall its good to play, great stress reliever for this week (finals week)

I mean it is over the top in some places (like radio commercials, character conversation) without contributing to either the gameplay or the story. I just don't see the need for that. I get that they want to be edgy, but it's a bit too Howard Stern for me.
