Question about P2P music sharing...

They started trying to bust people now for downloading music. Now can they still bust you if you have the albums of the songs you have on your computer?

Yes, if you are sharing them, because you are facilitating the piracy of those songs by offering them over a P2P network.

Gong: from what I understand about the way they are targeting people, you're probably alright if you aren't sharing the folder where your collection is, and if you download only two or three songs per day. They are going after big fish: major file sharers and downloaders. I have a shared folder full of songs that are not copyrighted that I make available...but my downloads go to a different folder. Just have to be patient and add to your music collection slowly.

im not sharing either. I got alot of music but for me only and no one else. I dont download every day. Maybe a song or 2 every other 3 days.

I download at least 10 songs per day I am going on 2K songs since I got Kazza lite. All you need to do is move your songs to a seperate folder after they are downloaded so they cannot find them buy going through the p2p software.

Well the reason I like P2P is not to steal music, but put my own cd compelations together.
