my brother-n-law worked in the car industry for 10 years and he always says new is always better than used because of the warranties car companies offer. And repairs can be so costly that you could be better off leasing and not running into huge costly repairs.
Personally I was going to buy my mom's BMW X5 out of her lease until my boss here had his drivers side window break in his own X5 and it was an $800 repair. I can't afford repairs that expensive. I ended up leasing a lesser costly car and any repairs have been under warranty.
Word, and especially a BMW. About as expensive as repairs come.
