Totally agree. They need to hire whoever did it as a designer for BMW.

It won't look like the car in that article. They are just trying to make that car emulate the original M1, almost to a T.

If they are all one piece than you would have to replace 1/5th of the car's body if you damaged the front bumper. I've never ever seen a car made like that.

The quarterpanel and the hood are all one piece in the case of the viper. Neither are connected to the front bumper. In the M1 photochop the front bumper and quarterpanel are all one piece.

Plus the quarterpanel on the viper is about 1 square foot.

You're right, I misread what you wrote. I have a Viper and had to replace the hood when a tow truck backed into it........$14000!!!!! Thank god for insurance.

well if the M1 is a M version of the new 1 series then it will have a shorter wheelbase than the 3 series. The 3 series competes with the Audi A4 model and for me the 1 series competes with the Audi A3, both shorter wheelbase versions of the bigger saloons. if thats the M1 then it will surely be the same wheelbase as the 1 series and the body shape looks like it competes for the same audience as the Audi TT which is the same shorter wheelbase as the A3.

But thats just my thoughts, if the photo is real!
