We have a boat. It's a 34' silverton. I have been a boater my entire life! I was totally a marina kid in the summer! Now my kids are.
In order to get your moneys worth out of it, you have to be willing to go every weekend. With dock, storage, insurance and boat payment, we spend just shy of $10,000 a year to have it. It's our summer long vacation... we don't usually take vacations to places, the boat is our vacation.
Having it on Lake Erie, you can go to the islands and canada and ports like Cleveland, Toledo and some up in Michigan. We go and stay at the islands probably like 3 times a summer.

Sonis has it on boattrader.com, and the Baja board. I will mention it to him to put it on Craigslist, but with gas prices through the roof, I really think that's the main reason we aren't getting any bites.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postred, how are you selling it? just putting a sign on it in your driveway or what? definitely use craigslist. when we were moving i put my sofa and a bunch of other shit on craigslist, had a buyer the same day.

Dreamgirl, how much does a boat like that usually cost? Just curious.
It really depends on the year. They still make my boat and brand new this past boat show it was $239,000.
The one we have is from 1984... it was taken care of and everything updated including flooring, cushions, air, so we paid on the high end for this age boat. We bought it 6.5 years ago for $42,500.
If you buy one from the '90's those are running from $70K - $120K.
