99 cent a pound -- boneless skinless breast -- fresh from the butcher at a local spot --

i usually buy 100 lbs at a time -- got to know the butcher over the past few years while getting ready for comps -- got talking one day while i was grabbing some chicken and he has hooked me up every since then --

well that's not exactly the same bro. see the "with rib meat" part. also see the "enhanced with up to 10% solution."

not exactly pure boneless skinless chicken breast.

it means its not 100% boneless skinless chicken breast. it has a fattier rib meat and extra sodium. its not bad but its not as good as 100% chicken breast. thats why you got it so cheap.

I just looked at it, it's Purdue but yea it basically said that on it. I always just thought it was used to help them stay fresh in the individually wrapped pieces. Does it make that much difference? I've seen videos of the pros shopping and they have just grabbed a bag like that...

Get ready to pay an arm and a leg for chicken in the near future. Ethanol production has put an enormous strain on the supply of corn which in turn drives the price of raising chicken and pigs through the roof. Not cool. The price will temporarily go down as farmers slaughter enough of their animals to decrease the supply to a point where they can charge enough to be able to continue raising chicken and pigs. One hog farmer said that it cost him nearly twice as much to raise each hog than he could sell them for. This whole oil thing is starting to reach the point of disaster. I wonder how long before the bubble bursts.

ahhhh....Ok, thanks for the clearing up

my parents trim the fat on the chicken before cooking it anyway, just because you can see some nasty white shit on the sides, and that shit looks disgusting.
