Just finished catching it on TV...

The house was actually pretty nice on the inside (except for the constant reminder that he loves "S"). Looked more classy than Mater P's for sure.

I thought that extreme wastes of money were the point of that type of thing.

Spending what would take years for an average person to save up, on something trivial or prestige, and then turning it into a joke.

It's just a way to separate themselves from "joe average". And I think it's supposed to make you feel like they're blowing money, because it reminds you that they can do that. Like 5k dollar champagne, there's no drink that can actually give 5k in value... but it's not supposed to, it's supposed to be a way to tell the haves from the have nots.
