Alright guys, I need some help with my damn computer. For the past week or two, I have been having a weird problem. I was using Firefox as my interent program, but it did it with IE too. Basically it won't load pages. Pages that I always go to. It doesn't show the no connection page, it jsut kinda freezes. But then on other pages it loads fine. And like here on SM, it wont load with FIreFox, but does with IE. But with IE, it loads and then it keeps like loading tracking cookies or something the whole time i am looking at the page. Oh and then I tried loading pages in Outlook, and they all load fine. Go figure.

I really don't know how to explain it better. I have scanned my comp with ad aware, Mcaffee, that AVG free virus scan. the Avg thing found a lot of crap, but didn't fix the problem. I know that it is hard to understand, and it is even harder to explain, but if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.

Mcaffee is as bad as a virus to me.....remove that crap.

Do a fresh install of both IE and FF.

What OS are you running? Computer brand? Laptop or PC?

sometimes its best to just totally reinstall your operating system. format the drive while you are installing and boot install disk from the cd/dvd drive.

computer will run like new. just make sure you back up and files/ folders to a cd.

Yeah I reinstalled both, and yeah I got rid of Mcaffee. I am running XP, on my desktop. A buddy built it, so no brand
