Geesh, it feels like Rado is back on the board. :) A mixed drink can fall into the same category as a cocktail, but this is how most people who don't want to take things literal for the sake of being argumentative will think a cocktail is" (From Wiki) "A cocktail today usually contains one or more types of liquor and flavorings and one or more liqueurs, fruit juices, sugar, honey, water, ice, soda, milk, cream, herbs, bitters, etc."Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostA mixed drink or a cocktail - they are one in the same. A rum and Coke is a cocktail, a martini is a cocktail, etc.

As did I and I was trying to put things into terms to help bouncer figure out what he wants. Trying to make a point that I was wrong or didn't know what I was talking about and ignoring the point I was trying to get across is something Rado would do. If he came to a bar and said "I don't really like a liquor much I like something more of a fruity cocktail" would you pour some orange juice and vodka in a glass? No, you would be more inclined to make a fuzzy navel.Originally posted by FitnessBrat View PostI don't see the similarity. :dunno: I just happened to be a bartender for many years.Last edited by Shibby; 07-03-08, 12:36 PM.
