Have skyrocketing gas prices affected your driving habits?

Have high gas priced affected your life in any way?

I know a few guys who run a limo business and the high fuel costs have almost bankrupted them. Also another guy I know sells cars at a large dealership (primarily SUV's) is in finacial troube. He said nobody is buying cars. Smaller cars and Mini's are moving but thats it. He works off of commission so he is hurting. Rent has gone way up for just about everyone.

It doesn't really stop me from going places, but I do *think* about it more now. Like I won't just take off somewhere far, just for the hell of it anymore.

If it's more than a 5 minute trip I really try to figure out if I am going that direction any other time in the week. I use to do things right as I thought of them to get them done, but now I don't want to go around all day and end up using half a tank of gas if I could only use 1/4 or less.

I do think about it but still do it. I also change cars/trucks for certain trips. I have a explorer that get most of the miles and a F-250 that gets some the Benz never leaves the garage mostly cuzz I dont go anywhere it needs to go.

i park the suv whenever possible and drive my motorcyle most places. the bike get literally 4 times the mileage

I have 7 Semi trucks so yes it changes everything. 20 grand a week in fuel will make you rethink everything you do. :dunno:
