What is it with tv weather alerts

During the news it take them about 5 minutes to cover all the weather, but when they interrupt your tv show they can talk about the same fucking storm for 20 minutes.

my feelings exactly. i check the forecast everyday before i leave for work. if the forecast is clear or small chance of rain, I drive my bike (HUGE gas saver). the last 2 days they called for definite thunder storms, hail, strong wind gusts, etc. uuuugh nothing, weather was fine, bastards
