I live in memphis, there are no past racial issues here, only the ominous present
Some places just have parents that can't let go of some ignorant ego. I know many parts of Texas like that. Some of the younger generation seem worse than the parents because they feel like they have to make a more extreme statement since so many more aren't listening. The worse part is they don't seem to know why they act like that, it's just the way they are. Honestly it's a lot like how people feel about their religion.
i can pretty much say, that in north jersey/nyc area i see very little racism. i am sure it still exist but not as much as in other areas i would think. it is just such a melting pot that you really cant be racist.

never lived in SC. was in Raleigh NC for a year. north Raleigh to be exact. didn't notice much racism there either simply because north Raleigh is kind of a yuppy place. research triangle and all that. everything is new. it is still way to south and way to slow for me though.
