It's not a constant action. It seems like a summary of the daily life of a Marine. Not a lot going on. Just waiting for orders and dealing politics in an entertaining way.

The first time I watched it I thought it was another reality show for a couple of minutes. Then I realized it wasn't. I agree with you they tried real hard to make it look like a reality show, which in turned made it really slow and boring to me. Never watched again after the first one.

They didnt try to make it look like a reality "show". The made it excatly how it goes on. I never seen a movie or series that nailed it almost perfect. I tell you not to sound gay or anything but I love watching this show, it really reminds me of the times I was in the Marines. Its very realistic. I think it would be boring to most "civilians" becasue they are only enterained by make believe things and special FX.
