Are you talking about the "setter"?Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostThe player with the different uniform is called a libero. He/she is primarily a defensive player, so they don't need to be tall as they almost never play at the net. They have to be very good on defense, which means they can dig and pass very well. I think once you are designated a libero, you have to retain that role throughout the match, hence the different colored uniform.

"Phelps, the USA's star swimmer, won two more gold medals today to bring his total for this Olympics to five and his career Olympics total to 11.
The first number puts him within three golds of breaking Mark Spitz's hallowed record of seven in one Olympics; the second gives him two more golds than any Olympic athlete."
.....with 3 events left for him to possibly capture more golf medals. Amazing!

just to add to how amazing he is. pretty much every gold he wins is also a new world record. not only that but he usually crushes the old world record.Originally posted by blm View Post"Phelps, the USA's star swimmer, won two more gold medals today to bring his total for this Olympics to five and his career Olympics total to 11.

I haven't been watching the soccer much. It's an under 23 league so it's quite a bit different as far as talent and energy goes, in comparison to the world cup. I have watched the end of one game (Adu is awsome) when Netherlands tied US in the last 30 seconds.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postshibby, have you been watching the soccer games? comcast added a dedicated Olympic Soccer HD channel that plays all the games 24/7. they also added a dedicated basketball Olympic channel. pretty sweet.Last edited by Shibby; 08-13-08, 05:40 PM.

"The U.S. Olympic swimmer told ESPN that he eats roughly 8,000-10,000 calories a day, including "lots of pizza and pasta." In addition to stuffing down carbs, he's said that he routinely eats foods like fried egg sandwiches."
But some say that would be near impossible and that he is probably around 6k a day.
