looks like this sucker is going to nail New Orleans again. I feel sorry for anyone that lives down there.

    Yeah it is sad.

I also have always wanted to visit NO, but I wish I had went pre-Katrina, now it seems things may get worse.

If it does hit NO, I hope it does minimal damage.

If New Orleans gets hit hard again they may not be able to re-build it this time.

At least they're getting out the refugees early this time.

We've been sweating this thing for a couple of days because the projected path made it look like it could be headed towards Houston. I don't wish anything bad on anybody else. I just want it to steer clear of here. Hopefully, it will weaken.

My mom is coming to town on Wed. Ironically, the last time she was coming was in '06 at the same time Rita was headed to Texas. She definitely brings a storm when she comes to town & I guess the weather reflects reality.

I just topped up my tank to the brim tonight...I can see gas jumping drastically over the next couple of days.

That's what gets me, something happens over seas, gas prices go up. Something happens here, gas prices go up.

Looks like its turning out to be less than 'the mother of all storms' that was expected. Hope they get the barriers up before the next big one.

There were a couple of media outlets that were referring to it as such.
