The latest and greatest way to easily get mp3 songs. Not the simplest (pretty simple for an above average user), but for harder to find songs that can be found on youtube, it works great and no subscriptions needed.
1.) Use firefox, get the cache viewer plugin and install it to firefox, this will add a new menu item to the 'tools' section of firefox called cacheviewer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2489 (this is a great way to save a video off youtube if you want to, open it in the cache viewer and save it as an flv file, download free vlc player to play it)
2.) Goto youtube and find your song, either the music video or some retard putting music to their idiotic posting (as long as the song is playing, its fine), let the video download fully, you dont have to listen to it all but wait for it to download full then you can stop it.
3.) Open the cache view in your firefox tools and sort the list by most recent files, find the recent item listed that is large size and that will be the video (should be labeled as type 'video/flv', right click and save in a folder with a .flv extension on it.
4.) Get the freeware AoA audio extractor program and install ithttp://www.aoamedia.com/audioextractor.htm
5.) Open your saved flv file with AoA extractor and extract your song to mp3 ... done.
