  • Rugby - Mr. Incredible/Redback

The TriNations matches were awesome - caught all of them on Youtube.

Now, I'm looking forward to the SH/NH tests coming up... with the All Blacks looking pretty solid, is a Grand Slam in the cards? Can't wait!!!

I'd like to see al blacks kicking ass again, there is nobody quite like them at their best, England have a world cup win, followed by a world cup final so happy to spread it round a bit LOL

Scrumhalf...on another note (and because I know you can read) have you read "playing the Enemy"? It's about SA rugby (the best rugby) and Mandela. Good read so far.

LOL... @ redback.... Wallabies played well, they just didn't have the horsepower to step in up in the last 30 min. when the ABs kicked it up into high gear....

No, haven't read that! I'll have to look for it. I don't care for the history of SA rugby with regards to race relations in SA, but I must agree that its hard to find fault with the Currie Cup as far as provincial competition goes.

the book is about overcoming that history and using rugby as a tool to unite black and white...I'll be the first to agree that prior to 1995 or so, SA rugby was the worst kind.

Well that's total bullshit and while your dreaming the real world is completely different.

They certainly haven't achieved that in SA rugby, they've kicked Jake White out (for what, winning the world cup?) and replaced him becuase he wasn't black. The country's political situation is a corrupt mess with Jacob Zuma's case being thrown out, whites can hardly get jobs there anymore (due to 'affirmative action' an inherently racist rule) which is why the whites with any English heritage are fleeing in their droves to England, right when our unemployment situation is hitting the skids, great!

It's turning into one of the most racist (anti white) countries in the world, its in danger (although some way off) of going the way of Zimbabwe. SA is not much better IMO than it was under aparthied which the likes of Mandella fought so hard to abolish, only for the situation to now be turned against the whites (a great incentive for more advanced civilizations to give power to those less advanced at that time, not), with many black saying the situation was better under FW DeKlerk because the coutry was better run and less crime and sooner or later their rugby will be on the slide.

I'm sorry but racism sucks whoever its perpetrated against and its happening to whites all over, some more subtely than others but as a white your not allowed to complain or you get called a racist.

Thats one reason I loved hearing John Howard speak.

Hopefully a few of the SA players seek English nationalisation then we might start winning again LOL

All the book is about is transitioning between apartheid and democratic rule with rugby as a theme. I make no comment on the current political situation in SA because I don't know anything about it.

I need to get Setanta, as I can't find rugby anywhere over here, unless I go to live games. Of course, I can watch darts on tv all day long.

Almost all the Trinations games are on Youtube - not the same as watching on bigscreen, but better than nothing. Here are a couple of links:
