  • If I could travel back to one point in history...

... it would be this performance.

YouTube - korn - blind (live-Woodstock) dvd version

Yeah yeah fuck all the haters that will probably respond to this thread. Korn was the shit back in the day. I challenge you to come up with a live performance that rivaled the intensity seen here. Check out 1:06 and 1:42. Too bad I was only 13 years old at the time. Too bad rock will probably never be like this again. There isnt an artist on the planet right now who could make an audience jump like this.

Awesome band apart from the fact they are a bunch of posers. People who dont know the song tho would be like wtf. Cant deny the energy it creates tho.

I'd convert all my cash into gold (since money looked different in the past, but ounces of gold are universal), then travel back to 1975 (one year after I was born). Would work with a lawyer to buy shares of Berkshire Hathatway for myself 'IN TRUST', and fill in my return date as the day the trust is realeased to my control (obviously with an ironclad stip that the trustee can't touch a single share ever).

              Why?

Because for every dollar in stock you bought, you'd have ~3500 dollars worth upon returning to the present!

So let's say you could cash in your current investments, convert credit into cash, and clean out your bank accounts you could probably come up with 100k...allowing you to buy 7.2lbs of gold. Not hard to carry on your person when you go back in time. Do the deal, come back, and you have:

350 MILLION DOLLARS worth of Berkshire Hathaway stock waiting for you when you come back. Can't think of a better trip back in time than that.

I loved Korn back when they came out with that shit over 15yrs ago, but there are many bands that I have seen live that easily matched their intensity and surpassed their talent, lol.

Slayer, Sepultura, Soulfly, Rage Against the Machine...to name a few.

As far as going back in time....

I'm going to have to think about that....I always thought serivng under General Patton would be the most miserable and rewarding time in my life if I could do it but I'm not so sure it would be my first option if it came down to a reality.

I'm not talking about their talent as a band. I will be the first to admit that Korn is far from the most talented band ever. I'm talking about this performance in particular. I struggle to believe that any of those bands listed ever made a performance like this or had control of the crowd like this.

I can't say I much disagree with this thought process, but your investment in BH would likely change the overall composition of the company.
