  • Sad day...

As if our year couldn't get any worse-

Husband and I both loose our jobs within 6 months of each other, I had to put my parent's dog to sleep, and just this morning I hear that Wachovia has been bought by Wells Fargo. My dad, who is 60 works at Wachovia.

As if that wasn't enough, yesterday we got some really sad news. Our 8 1/2 year old Rott was just diagnosed with cancer. He has a 3 inch long, 1.5 inch deep tumor in his mouth...We could pay the $1500 to have it removed, but they can only get 70% of it...and his life expectancy would be just about the same as it would be if we just let it take it's course. My husband is at the vet with him now. They did a biopsy, but the vet said she's 100% that its cancer. Either way, he maybe has another couple of months.

Just been a really, really tough year.

:)....I know. But why does it seem like when it rains it pours???

Just talked w/ my husband to see what the vet finally said. We decided to pay the $250 and have the biopsy sent off in order to see what kind of cancer he has. If it's a quick spreading one, or something more localized. If it's more localized, maybe he has more than 2 months....If it's a quick spreader, the vet said they had a Chow come in about 6 months ago that had a tumor in the bottom of the mouth, but was further towards the front. They removed most of it, but the dog was still dead in 2 months.

You just look at the big guy totally different now. I feel bad for ever yelling at him. My other dog, a shepherd/beagle mix will be lost without him. Even though she beats up on him, she still can't do much without him. That's what makes it even harder.

I'm really sorry to hear about all the crap you've had to go through. It is a testament to your character how well you seem to have endured the storm.

I thought the same at first as well. In the end you'll make the right decision no matter what Red. I feel for you and hope things work out.

Sorry to hear that Red. I've had to put two dogs to sleep in the last year so i know how you are feeling. I'm sure you will spoil him as much as you can for the rest of his time with you. God bless and I hope things get better.

I'm sure all your troubles will fade away with a healthy baby! :)
