  • Felt like a punch in the face

Well today I went to the gym and saw a friend of mine who just moved back from oregon, havent seen him for about 6 months. During this time I felt like I had made some decent gains and had added on a noticable amount of muscle, that was until I saw my buddy today. he is enormous now, it looked like he put on 30 more lbs of muscle, he was bigger than me before seein he is 6 yrs older than me and has been working out for over 15 yrs as opposed to my 3 but still it was really depressing to see how big he has gotten in the same amount of time as me. he always was adamant he never went near any juice and is still sayin that. I just couldnt believe how much he had grown he left being 5'11" 230lbs and he looked as if he was like 260lbs.

    motivation my friend....

but how many guys admit to juicing? I know a few close friends who would never admit it, even though I know better.

never hate or envy bro. like bigbadexcursion said, use it as motivation to better yourself.

if he actually gained 30lbs of solid weight then you can bet your ass he is running some gear especially considering he has been training for so long.

A lot of people don't like to admit to AS use because of the unfortunate stigma attached to it that automatically discredits the work that is put in by the uneducated or inexperienced.

          X2

I completely agree. If you are military, law enforcement, paramedic, fire etc you dont want to admit it even to your buddies. You never know when that "buddy" won't be as close a friend as he once was. I guess it holds true with any career but in ours they can order us tested.

Three years is a short time compared to fifteen years, no doubt he has an advantage with those 12 years of additional experience and sweat in the gym.
In your case I would seek his advice and be thankful to have an experienced friend to mentor you.

true, know a few people in the gym who out of the blue grew like a weed and not to mention thier strength. To each thier own, if they are open about it, its all good but if they keep it to themselves, my respects to them.

He always gives me his diet and workout plans so he is a good mentor in the gym. It was just a serious shock to see how big he got. It has been a serious motivator in the gym and to stick to my diet instead of just goin out with friends.

Absolutely agree! Get all the info you can from him because he obviously has some experience and knows what he is doing whether he is using steroids or not....
