In a year that has been painfully filled with far too many losses already, for what we hope and pray will be the last time in 2008 our fitness industry family has lost another loved one this holiday season.
Kenny Kassel has been a part of the industry for over 25 years and is a standard personality at almost every NPC national level and IFBB pro contest.
Kenny was well liked by everyone, always a thoughtful and kind guy that never spoke a disparaging word about anyone.
Kenny's very close friend Bob Bonham contacted industry sources December 24th with the news that his close friend Kenny Kassel had passed away suddenly and explained that Kenny's family had tried to contact him by phone, could not get in touch with him and called authorities to check on his welfare, "Mrs Kassel called the police from California when she couldn't reach him at any of his numbers. He was in his condo".
The cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy has been ordered.
Services will be held this Sunday at 10:00 am at:

i just talked with kenny not long ago . that was about my friend and mentor steve stone when steve passed - now kenny is gone aswell - bodybuilding loses another great guy that actually gave a fuck about the sport !!!
