one thing that is funny about hitler, well not really funny..
is that many of the things he hated.. he was.
he hated disease... he had many.
he wanted his country full with one kind of people, "the master race"... he was lacking in many of these characteristics.
he had mental and physical problems and weakness and yet he hated those that had the same.
he hated addiction and those who used drugs. and yet his doctors pumped him full of all kinds of drugs all the time. he was a full blown addict.
there is also talk of a relationship that he had with a cousin and a younger boy...
i believe he hated himself and through some nutty way of thinking he took that out on the jews and the weak..

Hitler was a total military failure. I could go on and on about the dumb decisions he made. First, he chickened out and held back Guderian when the British were on the ropes at Dunkirk, and allowed the bulk of the troops to escape. Second, he should never have declared war on the US when Japan did. Biggest of all, Operation Barbarossa was a colossal screwup both in concept and execution, not to mention all the tactical errors he made in the Russian winter.
I think the biggest question is whether Germany would have developed an atomic bomb if the US hadn't joined the war when it did. If they had done so, the outcome would definitely be different. If not, IMHO the Russians would have defeated Germany regardless of whether the Americans joined or not, as long as Lend Lease was in place.

Just curious what syphillis has to due with being a genius?Originally posted by Konitz View PostHitler had siphilous(or however you spell it) which if undiagnosed makes you go crazy, so did Benjamin Franklin ( who was also a lover of weight lifting) thats how close genious is to insanity the greastest thinker are almost borderline insane some, go over the edge.
Hilter is kno as one of the geatest speakers and motivator's of all time and really you cannot deny that. the way he would line the stadiums he speaked in with anti-aircraft spot lights so that it looked like lights of beam holding up a ceiling of clouds in the heavens, then he would start speaking slowly and softly then eventualy be screaming at the top of his lungs, no wonder people got so inspired.
