They have one of the best receiving tandems in the NFL with Fitzgerald and Boldin.

So I heard the possible story today where I now wouldn't mind the Steelers winning (although I will be rooting against them). If the Steelers win the first presidential sports congratulation call the new black president will make, will be to a black head coach.

Yea, because there have been lots of black Presidents and black head coaches that have won super bowls. Oh wait, no that's only happened once each.

its still dumb bro. sorry. black president is one thing. but reaching out and looking for firsts in the sense of a simple game is going to far. it actually becomes racist in its own right.

It's dumb to focus on the fact of it being about the game. Ask a black person over 40 if they ever thought there would be a day that a black President (the highest office) would be calling a black head coach to congratulate him on receiving the highest honors of his profession.

i see your point. but see mine. it world views and considering what is going on in the world, American football is almost meaningless.

I can agree with that. Now everytime something happens that involves the 'black' President and another recognized black person it will be historical.

"Today in black history....President Obama calls Lil' Wayne to congratulate him on his record sales. Although he is does not condone the material/activity discussed in his lyrics he does commend him for overcoming the prejudice and in justice that has kept theblack man down for 400 years. Yo dog, we did it!"

While I understand the poor analogy, it is a tradition (I don't know how far back) that championship teams head coach get a call from the president and the team visits the white house.
