Counterfeit Dreams: Chapter One: Going Home

Well written account of someone that spent 35 years as a member of Scientology. I became extremely interested in Scientology after a friend started going, I have read a fair amount of material on the net, but this blog is a well written piece. It kept me up late last week reading.





It is the belief of many critics and ex members that the organization is on its last breath, and a lot of that is due to people on the internet exposing all of their "religious" beliefs.

I personally don't care what or whom anyone worships or believes in, but Scientology is just a business, so I think they owe big brother a ton in taxes ( they should bail us out).

I read a reallly good article by the great grandson of L. Ron Hubbard that exposed all the ins and outs of the 'Church of Scientolgy' and how it all started from Hubbard's fantasy writings and as people started to believe he had to start creating new levels and using secrecy to buy time to create more illusions (so to say).

It amazes me that these brilliant actors are so stupid to literally buy into all this nonsense.

BUT..Scientology is a business and pyramid scheme, a great one at that, but they are tax exempt and not only do they have tax exemption, they get away with a lot more then they could by using the word religion.

You can believe the teachings out of any book if you please, but pay taxes like everyone else for charging for self-help classes and books.

Hubbard stated "clears can't get sick", clear being a point you reach on the bridge of money. If you ingested Tylenol you were suppose to write a report about it.

Most people believed Jett to be autistic, yet the only med he had a history of being on was Depakote.

What a horrible loss for any parent though.

i believe in aliens as in a micro organism that may live in a galaxy that would take us 5000 years to get to if traveling at the speed of light. do you have any concept of how big the universe it? seriously. Hubble has taken images of whole galaxies that would that would take 30,000 years to get to if we were traveling at the speed of light! if you don't believe that some kind of life can exist in all that space be it some kind of plant or organism then you really are very close minded.

na, i just am interested and have a bit of knowledge in a few subject. leaders and powerful people (hitler thread), bodybuilding, and science. anything else though i am dumb as a stone.
