Ok so I've been out with this one girl quite a bit and we are hitting it off. She is 5 years older than me, and acts like it. So I dont have to worry about childish drama.

Anyway, if we flash back to a few weeks ago, I posted the thread about making the mistake of having unprotected sex that night. I havent had sex since then, but I havent been able to get tested because my insurance is taking forever to get worked out. So I know right now I wouldnt be comfortable sleeping with someone new without getting myself completely checked first. Condom or not, if there is a chance I could have anything, I wouldnt feel right.

So whats the best way to handle that if things start getting heavy before I get a chance to get tested? Should I just tell the truth? It basically would be, "look I get tested every year, and I have always been clean, but I haven't had a chance to get tested yet like I wanted to. so id feel more comfortable waiting for that". would that be a weird thing to say or would she appreciate my honesty? Also, would that make her think that I was trying to creatively ask her if she had been tested?

I plan on doing a lot at the doctor in the next few weeks and getting tested will probably be in the next week or two.

There is one clinic that does it for free, but they ask for your weekly income. If you are over "X" amount, which I am, it is no longer free and can actually get more expensive than a regular doctor's visit. My only option in that case is lying about my income on a state document, and I dont think thats a good idea.

Well I'm trying to avoid the situation. We usually stay out. And it hasnt gotten to the point where I think sex will be an issue. The girl has a good head on her shoulders. But its a just in case kind of thing.

And yes I am getting tested within a week or two, and no there isnt a whole lot I can do about speeding up the process. But I am not having sex with anyone since then, so I'm not being wreckless about it.

Here in Cali they take that shit seriously doesn't matter how much money you make you can walk in to a free clinic and they will test you.
Just lie and tell them you don't have a job.:D

I would definitely not suggest what you said. If someone said that to me, I wouldn't look at it like "oh cool, this guy is just extra safe." I'd most likely look at it like you sleep around a lot, or with whomever, and that's really not attractive. You just met this girl, she doesn't need to know ALL your personal business.
