  • ** Week 1 Discussion ** - Breaking Plateaus

    Breaking plateau's
I thought it would be a good idea to start weekly diiscussion to focus on specific bb'lidng topics. I don't care if its bi-weekly or monthy. Let me know if you think? If you would like to submit a topic just let me know.

Looking to hear some tips on how to get through a plateau. Don't just tell us about your plateau... but tell us about how you broke your plateau ... or if you're currently at a plateau, feel free to tell us what you're thinking about breaking it.

    good idea NYC.

i think the biggest thing about pushing through plateaus is evaluation of what you are doing and what you can do better or change.

if you have been doing something for awhile, change it all up. change your routine, sets, reps etc...

i tend to take a step back and review what i am doing and look to see where i need to change things -

like now - i have been low dose gear - higher rep lighter weight for a time getting ready to change things up as i get ready to train for my next show -

will be adding more calories , more weight in the gym and yes a touch more gear -- we all hit walls -

time off and changing routines and sometimes changing gyms all together helps with breaking through walls

I think a decent amount of time off, like a full week, helps after you've been at it for months.

Also like the fact that my gym has 2 locations. They're totally different, different people, etc. Sort of breaks the monotony.
