    well -

i was at my youngest daughters winter concert at her school last night when i noticed an arab guy come by the double doors to the gymnasium -- i see him pace back and forth then leave .

couple minutes later he comes back . i see him looking out into the audience so i look to see what he was looking at - well another arab guy looks back at him then i see him make a hand gesture and the other guy gets up and goes through another set of double doors on the other side of the gym -

then he goes back out into the hall -- sooooo i get up and follow him -- he goes into the boys bathroom - i slip in behind him and hem him up in the corner of the bathroom by one of the stalls and ask him what the fuck was he doing -

wellllll he was looking for his son which the other guy had found - he turns to me and says not all of us strap bombs to our bodies and walk into buildings all i said is theres a first for everything then -- ya i know asshole i am --

to top it off just after that i was standing in the center isle towards the front by the stage so i could take vid of my daughter singing i had some older lady come up behind me and start poking me in the back yelling at me that she couldnt see -- i ignored her and continued on taking vid of my daughter when i was done i politley told her that i dont move for anyone till i am done taking my vids of my daughter -- yup i know asshole i am again :D

my wife told me that i am banned from the concerts :D

If you wouldn't have said it was an arab guy I still would have thought the actions were weird. Why would one guy be sitting there if they can't find a kid.

exactley -- i watched it for a bit and didnt like it - most people are very passive in life and those people end up flying into buildings --would have noticed it no matter the type of person - just stuck out more cause he was arab and facts are we take a longer look at someone of arab descent since 9/11 i make no appoligies for my actions -- my familys safety comes first - if i dont like something i am not shy about letting one know !!

I understand the care to protect your family, you have every right to do so. BUT just because he was an 'Arab' doesn't mean he had a bomb strapped to his chest.

I have noticed my family doing things similar, if not STUPIDER, just pointing the wrong way gives people the wrong impression.

I met this girl the other day, maybe one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. Well, she is from Israel. She works at the mall and I deliver the mail to all the stores in the mall. So at first she tried to sell me some freakin hand lotion. We started talking and everyday for the past week or so we talk and just kinda hang out while I take a "break". But the whole time im talking to her Im wondering if everything she is saying to me is a lie, and why is she really here in this country and all kinds of crazy shit. There are alot of arabs where I live and it seams like there is always something shady about them. I know its wrong but the truth is they do stuid shit. So you have to keep your guard up.

I would agree some of them do some stupid shit. My girl is lebaneses and both her brothers have done time for the stupidest reasons. They are very proud people and tend to be slightly unhinged. Unfortunately these few give the rest a bad name. Not all arabs are muslims either. They all have very defferent beliefs.

how would you feel if the tables were turned. Remeber Tim McVeigh, he was a white guy and responsible for the second largest act of terror on American soil. And yet, white, ex-military guys don't draw the same kind of interest that visible minorities do. That's called rascism. Plus, I'm guessing you outweighed him by quite a bit and probably frightened him.

He did nothing wrong, you did. I hope you appologised.

The McVeigh excuse always shows up in threads like these. It fails completely if you look at acts of terrorism on our nation in total. It may not be popular to say but the statistics are there if you really want to see them.

It's no different than being more aware if a group of black teenagers are following you. Reported statistics show they are more likely to commit a crime. That is doubly true if you are a young black male, as black on black crime is almost ten times more likely than white on black crime.

I don't think it's ever wrong to follow your instincts. I may not have confronted the guy so bluntly but I would have followed him and made small talk until I was comfortable with the situation. More than one way to skin a cat after all and subtlety has it's place.

If you're looking for a crack dealer he's probably black, looking for a serial killer he's probably white, looking for a shoplifter it's probably a female, looking for a terrorist he's probably muslim, etc.....

Not at all politically correct but the numbers don't lie.

                              yeah decadeca got it right,

over here i the london burbs there are always loads of stabbings usually black on black sometimes black on white but hardly ever a white person stabbing someone else. So police starts operating stop and search and gues what they stop more black people, the black guys start kicking off and cry racism and so the police are told to back off or risk race riots, then after a while knife crime goes up again and the whole cycle starts again!

                              Its a tricky one
