I assume in you interrogation of the terror suspect you asked for a passport or citizenship papers which he could not produce?

Damn foreigners letting their kids take part in your christmas carols and shit, sounds like he was seriously making an effort not to adapt to the US by allowing his kid to take part and supporting them by being there. That is some unAmerican bullshit right there. I stand corrected.

My girl is Pakistani. BIG DIFFERENCE.... she doesn't smell like Indian food.

My girl isn't into whipping. She likes it blind folded and pinned against the wall :D

oh and deffintley didnt feel like an ass for doing what i did -- i didnt have to explain my actions because he already knew !! will do it again in a heartbeat -

by the way he was not american -- my hopes is his view is he should have stayed in his own fucking country -- dont have much tolerance for todays non americans -- cant even respect this country enough to learn its language ,its culture etc etc , but yet there ideals are forced down our throats -

by the way my kids dont know a muslim from a christian a catholic from a jew etc etc etc - also my kids are of mixed race so they been taught not too judge upon anyones color, creed or religion -

its religion and its ideals that one is better then the other i find to be the root of evil -

plus when you speak of him you keep calling him a muslim - not all arabs are of muslim faith ! so you yourself have judged him without knowing just because he is what ? an arab :)
For the purposes of the discussion my assumption is that he is Muslim because Arabs don't blow up places, Islamic extremists do. Half my point. Nevermind.

Your children can be of mixed heritage, but you can still be bigoted, and for that matter so can they. I'm not saying they are.

I just don't understand how you feel like your actions were justified. What evidence in your mind did you have that he was going to act on the theories you had speeding through your mind?

No, I hold a pre-judgment. Much the same as what Scott does. I just see a definitive difference between someone parking their car in a spot isolated, btw its everyone not just college students, and walking up to a guy and, without words, accusing him of being someone who would make the conscious decision to blow up a room full of innocent people.

I wouldn't argue that college students, or anyone, would go out of their way to actively ding the door of my car. If I singled someone out and thought they dinged my car...called them out on it. Then it was systematically proven they didn't, ie their car wasn't even next to mine. Yes, I would feel like an ass and appologize.

Really, I am trying to understand the mindset of, "No apologies, I would do it again." The safety of your kids? Do you walk up to anyone that looks creepy, 'non-American', etc., etc. and do the same thing?

I believe he feels justified in his suspicion due to the totality of the circumstances.

He didn't simply single out a random person that seemed to be of a different ethnic persuasion.

He became concerned because of the person's outward appearance, furtive movements, interactions with another man in the crowd both verbal and nonverbal, etc...

Put yourself in that situation and be honest about whether or not it would cause you concern.

If it would not I think you lack serious situational awareness.

I knew that would come up.

Not walking around with your head in the clouds and taking notice of what goes on around you does not equal paranoia.

I don't see the difference between you and scott. So we have differing opinions much like you do with scott over what he did.
