  • Would you have said something?

Went to a local chain health store to buy my ON Whey this weekend and there was a guy in there loading up on every supplement in the place. The kid working there was giving him the full pitch on everything they sold.

He checked out in front of us and asked about a fat burner on the stand next to the counter, of course the kid working there told him how great it was and he bought that too. So now the guy has stuff to bulk up, cut fat, boost energy, get a pump, lose water, etc.....He actually said "Man, I hope I can remember when to take all these pills!"

I didn't see what his total was but it had to be several hundred dollars. I felt bad for the guy and ALMOST took him aside and suggested he was wasting his money but I didn't want to come off as an asshole.

His own fault for not doing his homework before he went in there...keeping quiet was the right play. Learning a lesson the hard way works best for most people; when he realizes the crap isn't doing much, and that he could have saved himself a lot of money by doing a little research, he'll emerge from the experience a much wiser man.

That's a place of business so that would have been a little F'd up.

I don't know that he needs to "learn a lesson" because most the time a lesson isn't learned - they just give up. However, I don't think I'd say anything either.
