  • Does anyone use Safari by apple for their web browser?

    Pros and cons?

I had Opera on my HTC Fuze (cell phone)

Its ok, lots of apple products have them. The people that have used it, didn't like it. Nothin special about Safari.

slow, slow, slow. and ugly. it's a good for someone in need of a basic browser. i prefer mozilla because of the predictive bookmarks in the address bar and the address bar being a "I Feel Lucky" google search engine. safari is like your bitchy ex.

i'm waiting for Chrome to release for mac.

no, its shitty. one of the few things that apple does that is not up to par.

firefox, chrome, ie 8 blows it away.

I know there are some threads about chrome. Much difference between that and firefox. Not unhappy with firefox, just browsing around.

ummm what is different about any browser? aren't they just the window you are looking at the internet with? I have used most of the ones listed over the years and browsers are browsers....maybe that just me.

not to mention built-in pop up blockers, different bookmark set-ups and some are more customizable than others.

ie seems to freeze on me once in awhile so never use. i have safari but don't like/use it. i switch between firefox and chrome. i find chrome is faster and more efficient, so i mostly use that.

page loading speed, security, functionality to name a few. I can't use Chrome with a lot of work applications, but it is probably the most efficient consumer browser currently out, imo.
