  • Town Sports Club (AKA Philadelhpia / New York / ETC Sports Clubs)

I want to just say, and possibly give a heads up, that this institution is designed to rip you off. I have been going there since September and EVERY MONTH they have incorrectly billed me. This month they took $1,860.40 out of my account for a month due that was supposed to be $69. I am absolutely amazed that this company is still in business. Stay away from this shit hole at all costs!

    Edit: Its Town Sports International

But then if they overdraft the account doesn't that become an issue? Also, I would still have to carry a min balance with my bank so that I wouldn't get charged a cycle fee. All and all this is the dumbest thing that has ever happened to me.

You've done dumber shit before, don't lie:)
Oh, I've definatrly done stupider stuff, this is just the most rdiculous course of events a company has caused me.

depends on the bank i think, if my card gets run for more than is n my acct it will deny the card. but if its ran as a debit it will overdraw the acct. but as a debit you need the pin #.

Had a similar issue that happened to my mom's checking account. My old gym that i went to charged us after our contract with them was over. My mom went in and gave them hell.

They refunded and I didn't go back

Thats why I loved the old school gym in the small town where i went to school. Just hand the owner a $20 bill once a month and he would check the month off by your name. Didnt matter whether you wanted to be a member for a month or 3 years.

Basically it's come down to me telling them they either send me a bill or cancel the membership. If anyone knows any good small gyms in the west suburbs of philly let me know.
