mono goes away by itself or do you just always have it? makes you tired right?

It goes away on it's own. It usually takes a couple of weeks, but can take months to feel fully recovered. And yes, makes you feel extremely rundown.

Correct. Its a virus that has to run its course. I was completely beat for about 2 weeks. Rundown for close to two months. Some days were btter than others.

I think you'll start feeling much better once the strep is taken care of. Mono depends on the person...some can return to a high level of activity after a relatively short time of rest, others take months. This season, a Boston Bruins player (Phil Kessel) got diagnosed with mono. He was out of the lineup for only three weeks, and then he was back playing...so be optimistic. You'll be back in the gym soon IF you are smart about things and give your body the rest it needs to fight off the mono.
