So many of you remember my ex broke up with me over the summer. Well i haven't spoken to her in months, well before xmas. Well about a month ago she emails me telling me about how things are then blatantly slips in there that she wants money from me that she spent for us to go to DC last April. The total amount is $360. I never responded so she sent another email stating she'll send her family to come get it. So i told her send them over when i have it ready. Then I also told her well you know what i want the money you owe me for the time i took you to NYC. This pissed her off. So now she is saying she is going to take me to small claims court.

Now the best part is her family is loaded and she lives in Boston now. So she's gonna come back here to get $360 from me? Seriously? What the fuck is wrong with people?

She may have receipts but nothing with my name on it or that she paid for me. I can get a hold of old credit card statements with the same info she will have. i dont think she's smart enough to have kept receipts. I just think it's nonsense bullshit.

She agreed to pay ALL of the expenses related to the house; mortgage, property taxes, homeowners insurance, utilities, etc. Well, after not speaking to each other since before Thanksgiving we ran into each other and now she's wanting me to help with property taxes and homeowners insurance. Nice. She'll agree to anything to get what she wants, but won't actually do it. I'm having none of it, not this time.

Stand up to her, man. Don't say something you'll regret, but don't back down. It's likely she's not going to give up easily, but you have to be able to take whatever she can throw at you. In the end she's hurting herself too.

yeah i went through some shit too with my divorce. I seem to find girls that want money that isnt theirs. I havent spoken a word to her just to not give her the satisfaction of a response. My uncle's been giving me advice since he's a lawyer. he said just don't say anything, ignore it, and let her file. She doesn't have a case.
