I didn't get down on one knee. The funny part is, I also didn't get an answer immediately. I didn't say "will you marry me" though. I said something like "I think we should spend this next year with you as my fiance" (our next year together). She just gave me a kiss and was all ready for me to put it on her finger. I had to ask her if that means yes. She said yes and then I put it on her finger.
