You never had the hankering to grab some junk food and chow? I mean, that is what is driving me crazy. That and between the hours of 2 and 8 I am so hungry ALL THE TIME.

Do you have a cheat meal once a week? And why aren't you eating for 6 hours??

No cheat meal. And I do eat within that period, but after about 15 minutes I'm hungry again. Only during that one thoguh.

Why no cheat meal? If you're that starved, why don't you add some veggies, leafy greens, etc.

for people who tend to add fat easily like chris, i think a cheat meal is a bad idea. some peoples bodys react bad to a cheat meal and just store it all.

I eat a lot of veggies with every meal (non-shake, non breakfast). No cheat meal so I can really get abs to pop. I am considering doing a show for motivational/body image improvement. It may not happen, but I am dieting like I may do it.

                    Keep it up Chris.

One of my friends is doing his first show in 2 weeks. He keeps his mind off the hunger and focus's on the positive outcome.

just remind yourself that nothing tastes as good as looking good feels.

It also helps to fill your time, so you're not obsessing over food.

It's a good goal to have. Some people are really only motivated to diet hard unless they know they will have to get on stage.

That being said, what types of veggies are you eating? Even when I am eating pre contest, it's still about an hour before I am starving again. What sort of healthy fats are youeating with your shakes? That's one thing people sometimes overlook...if youdon't eat some sort of energy source w/ your shakes, the protein digests really quickly, If you eat a small amt of carbs, or fats witht he shake, it takes longer to digest.

I think the hunger is mentally induced. However, I get fats from eggs, ground turkey, fish, some red meat, avocado. I also eat veggies like asaparagus (sp?), broccoli, spinach. I still have two shakes, one pre, one post workout. I tried eating real food post, but I would end up eating way too much. During the post I have liquid carbs which I have considered changing to oatmeal. Pre is just one scoop whey because I digest so slowly that if I eat within 2 hours of lifting it always wants to come up.

You still need some healthy fats at shake time- no matter what kind of protein. Based on your fat sources, you should throw in like 10-15 almonds at shake time. There is little fat in ground turkey. You need to throw in 1-2 tsp of flax oil, or 10-15 almonds 3 times a day at shake time or whole food time. That willhelp slow the digestion, and should help with additional fat loss. Eating whole food PRE workout could benefit you as well. Try a can of tuna with some oats or brown rice. Pre measure it so you don't overeat.
