hate to say i have to agree -- chris has taken the time to learn and do things the right way -Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postthanks bro, means a lot. that type of straight forward "keep things basic and efficient" style has always been what works for me so i try to just pass it on.
be proud of yourself bro, for real. you are one of the few that started out from scratch when you came here and actually took the time to learn and understand and now look how far you have come. you are far from the fat little fuck that first came to this site.
much respect.
has my respect in that area aswell -
will try not to yuppie profile you in the future :D

Bouncer, I would go to Italy. Nice, very friendly people, awesome food, the best ice cream, a lot of cool places to see including Venice. The girls are not the best looking...but you can't get everything, right? Plus, with the girls out of the picture you will get a chance to concentrate more on sightseeing :)
Haven't been to Paris, but my close friend has. She loved it, but then, she finished her masters in art history, so I see why she did. But then, if you would like to try French specialties...frog legs, snails then go for it !

Bouncer, I agree, there are A LOT of things to see in each country.
I don't think you would be satisfied with only a few days in a country; a better way to approach sight seeing would be to spend one full vacation on one country, then you would get the best feel for the country you are visiting.
If you have 2 weeks to do something, just decide on one country and make sure you see the most important/interesting landmarks or places that interest you the most. With that time in there you will be able to experience the culture, foods, different mentality....I just don't think you can judge a country by being there for 2 days only.
So, my little advice, don't try to pack too much into your trip because you won't get much out of it. Research a country you want to go to and learn as much about it as you can.

I agree. I haven't done enough in France to say "Germany is better", but I spent a lot of time in Germany and there are tons of cool things there. I also did the castles, concentration camp, etc.Originally posted by beefcake View PostThe food in germany is way better. Just FYI, One of Magdalena's best friends lives in Germany (born) and once you decide on where to go and what you want do I'm sure at the very least she knows someone that knows someone to get you plenty of info.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postgood advice and i agree.Last edited by Shibby; 04-25-09, 05:11 PM.

To each his own, I guess. I could hang out in France and Italy indefinitely.Originally posted by beefcake View PostThe food in germany is way better. Okay, now that Germany is in the picture...fly to Germany and drive down to Italy.
I have done that 3 times now. It has been incredibly fun each time. I was fortunate enough to have a decent car to do it in each time though. There are so many amazing roads and for someone who is into cars it would be very enjoyable. The scenery is beautiful.

:rofl:Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postyou live like 3 hours from france and you never been there?
I have actually but like twice on a school trip, and once when my dad had a place out there.
The thing is since flights got cheaper, many Europeans prefer to fly far away for reasons like guaranteed weather. I consider myself generally well travelled but I've been to more far flung countries than European ones.
I have been to France, Poland, Spain, Venice, Bruges but thats about it.
I'd like to go to Italy but I heard its very expensive so fo the money I'd prefer to go somewhere less European if you know what I mean.
Americans tend to stick closer to home except New Yorkers, I see them everywhere abroad lol
How many time you been to Canada though?

Another good reason to go to Italy, they have balls. If it were a French cruise ship they would have immediately surrendered like the South Park episode.
