Bouncer, I would go to Italy. Nice, very friendly people, awesome food, the best ice cream, a lot of cool places to see including Venice. The girls are not the best looking...but you can't get everything, right? Plus, with the girls out of the picture you will get a chance to concentrate more on sightseeing :)
Haven't been to Paris, but my close friend has. She loved it, but then, she finished her masters in art history, so I see why she did. But then, if you would like to try French specialties...frog legs, snails then go for it !

hate to say i have to agree -- chris has taken the time to learn and do things the right way -Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Postthanks bro, means a lot. that type of straight forward "keep things basic and efficient" style has always been what works for me so i try to just pass it on.
be proud of yourself bro, for real. you are one of the few that started out from scratch when you came here and actually took the time to learn and understand and now look how far you have come. you are far from the fat little fuck that first came to this site.
much respect.

The food in germany is way better. Plus you can go see tons of castles, coliseums, or concentration camps if that's your thing. I like going on the volksmarches and then having some beer and sausage afterwards. Good times.Originally posted by Scrumhalf View PostYou've got to be kidding.... Italy has lots of historical things to see in Venice, Rome, etc. and lots of vacation-type places to go to with fantastic food but Germany? It cannot hold a candle to France....

I love Paris. I know you said you are not much of a museum guy, but you can really spend a week just in Paris with the Louvre and such. Also, make sure you go to Versailles. The palace of Louis XIV is just incredible. Find a nice place to stay in Paris - I stayed in Montparnasse, a district in southern Paris. It was a very nice area, lots of sidewalk cafes, etc.

I haven't been to France in the tourist sense, so I may not be the best. However, my parents have been several times, as well as Italy. They & I both say ITALY. There is so much history, architecture and culture in Italy. We all went back in 06, and it was a phenomenal trip- cried when I left there, and England. Check out Virgin Vacations.com- they have mutliple city packages within Italy that include airfar, trian, and hotel. FYI- breakfast is included, but their breakfasts aren't what they are here.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostWell now we are debating. Instead of going to France we could go to Italy and I would time it so that I could go to the F1 Italian Grand Prix.
France or Italy?
Which one would you guys pick?
One word to the wise- although it is a vacation, it's not as relaxing as laying on the beach- it's a different kind of enjoyment...it takes a bit of effort & work to see everything, so be prepared

Take this for what it is, but you actually have affected my behaviors. I highly doubt I would have ever considered many things if you had not pointed them out in terms of diet and training. Nor would I have ever felt the need to try using a trainer...again. However, you suggested that and one day i thought about it and decided it might be a good move for a time.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View Posti hate you, how i change you?
The trainer changed my attitude completely.
Not only that, you have a very straight forward way of approaching things and when you are honest (and serious)...it has been some of the very best criticism I have received in life. Especially for lifting.

Go to Italy. It's a much better country. Best driving road I. The world is in italy. Rural France is nice, but all of italy is beautiful. The people in big cities are nicer, but more abrasive. In rural towns in France everyone was nice as well though.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostWell now we are debating. You have to see Venice before it sinks is what my father always said to me.

Never been to France, but have been to Italy and it is FUCKING GREAT. Best place I have ever been in my entire life. The people are nice, and the food is fantastic. Italy is the best, make sure to go to Lake Como, stay there at least 2 nights. I stayed in a villa in Bellagio, I would try and find out the name, but I believe it has either changed names or been torn down. Italy all the way, and then go to the race. You will not regret it.Originally posted by THE BOUNCER View PostWell now we are debating. My dad bought a shanty outside of marsaille last summer when he went there. He fell in love with the French riviera and he likes the French pres more than the us one.
Monte Carlo was the other one we have on the list. obvously, i would time it for the Monaco Grand Prix but that is only a month away.
