Unfortunately didn't get tampa like I wanted, so i'll be heading up to Richmond to do some work with the ER and fire department. Anyone from this area and know of what's any good to do up there? I've heard you pretty much have to go to DC to find anything good to do. Tampa would've been so much better. :mad:

You have Virginia Beach near you. You could go chill out there. DC is far from there, not worth the drive unless you're going to spend the weekend in the DC area. -
Richmond is a large city, I'm sure you'll find plenty to do once you get there.

GA for 2 years? So where does VA come in? VA is a beautiful state for seasons, and there are always things to do. As far as partying, I don't anything about Richmond but I'm sure it has its share. Plenty to do in DC if you have a weekend.Comment

My brother had to volunteer for a 15 month deployment in order to get japan. Not sure why he wants to go there. VA is a tdy. My permanent duty station is fort benning. I won't be getting a weekend up there either. One day off a week and i'll be working night shift. Yup, two years of PA school, come out as a first lieutenant and then captain within a year plus $30k extra a year for being a PA. Not too shabby. Tdy is only a month.
